Web Interface To Manage And Administer Credential Based Access Control Permissions For Enterprise Class Video Management Software

Objective

Our client’s company based in India is a leading developer of enterprise-class video management software. Using their software, end users can access surveillance data across platforms via internal networks as well as over the Internet. The company needed a simplified web interface for end users to be able to manage and administer credential based access control permissions for personnel. Furthermore, administrators needed to be able quickly configure the various hardware, controllers and devices such as doors and master readers through web pages. From a strategic perspective, blending the powerful features of video surveillance software with access control would allow end users to view critical information from both systems within one interface.

Solution

Using Visual Studio 2018 (.NET framework 4.5) software and SQL Server 2018 for the backend database, Hyper Beyond quickly built a web application that helped the client fulfill an urgent need for seamless configuration of access control hardware and devices. The web app provided for quick navigation and custom edit functions. Additionally, this new interface also helped administrators monitor device status and manage access control restrictions for cards issued to employees.

Result

We have simplified powerful user interface for effective management of personnel cards and enhanced monitoring of device status. We provided seamless configuration of hardware and access control devices from a unified UI.
